The group “Merope” and choir “Jauna muzika” on December 27 and 28 invite everyone to celebrate new years together, look back at themselves and talk very openly through music.
“Merope” is an exclusive group of alternative folk music that creates a sound palette. Their minimalist compositions are inspired by old Lithuanian folk songs, whose materiality and intonations blend with Indian music motifs as well as elements of electronic, jazz and improvisational music.
The concert “Naktės” is named after the latest CD of group “Merope”. The main source of inspiration is the ancient folk songs. Most of these songs were specially arranged and adapted for the choir “Jauna muzika” together with the group “Merope”.
