Vilnius Municipal Choir Jauna Muzika, in cooperation with the Lithuanian National Cultural Centre, almost annually organises choral music conducting and interpretation masterclasses. It is one of the most important events not only for Jauna Muzika, but also for the entire Lithuanian choral culture. This week-long course is intended for young choir conductors who have their own choirs, choir singers, students of choral art colleges and higher music schools. It is an opportunity to improve professional skills, to get to know the latest global choral music literature, and current trends in the development of choral art. World-renowned choir conductors with creative and pedagogical experience are invited to conduct seminars. The finale of the masterclasses is a concert, during which the Choir presents a programme prepared with the course participants and the course leader.

Thomas Caplin – Norwegian composer, choir conductor, Professor at the Norwegian University of Applied Sciences.
Erik Westberg – one of Sweden’s most famous conductors.
Georg Grün – German conductor of the chamber choir of the Mannheim University of Music and Performing Arts.
Bob Chilcott – British conductor, composer, former King Singers vocalist.
Bo Holten – Danish composer and conductor, director of the ensembles “Ars nova” and “Musica ficta”, Professor.
Gary Graden – Stockholm St. James’s Choir Director, Professor.
Johannes Prinz – Austrian composer, conductor, choir Wiener Singverein and leader of the Vienna Chamber Choir.
Ira Spaulding – American-Dutch conductor, member of American Voices association.
Rinaldo Alessandrini – Artistic Director of the Concerto italiano ensemble.
Dr. Albert Hartinger professor at the Salzburg Mozarteum.
Hermann Max – conductor and Artistic Director of the Rheinische Kantorei choir.
Anders Eby – Director of the Mikael Chamber Choir and professor at the Royal Academy of Music in Stockholm.
Simon Halsey – Artistic Director of Birmingham Symphony Orchestra Choir.
Werner Pfaff – Artistic Director of Studio vocale in Karlsruhe and professor at the Frankfurt High School of Music.
Friedier Bernius – Artistic Director of the Stuttgart Chamber choir, Chamber and Baroque orchestras.
Courses are held almost every year in March or April.
