World premiere inspired by V.Kiminius birbynė
The first concert after the quarantine period.
“Vilnius Festival Mosaic” – the world premiere of Estonian Peeter Vähi’s concert for birbynė and orchestra. The composer was inspired to write the work by Prussian history and birbynė master Vytautas Kiminius, who will play it with the Lithuanian Chamber Orchestra. The concert “Faith and Hope” will also feature works by Georgian Giya Kancheli, Latvian Pēteris Vaskas, performed by the choir “Jauna muzika”, violinist Dalia Kuznecovaitė, cellist Elena Daunytė, conducted by Adrija Čepaitė.
The concert at the Philharmonic will be broadcast live in the Digital Concert Hall www.nationalphilharmonic.tv, the Lithuanian National Philharmonic Digital Hall and the LRT Classical Channel.
